Web Design Software Overview

Creating web pages may be easy for some, but for some people it is the hardest thing to do. It is even harder if you don’t know HTML, JavaScript, ASP, or any other type of scripting language used in web pages today. Many people get very frustrated when they try to create web pages, and find out that what they did won’t work. Are you one of these people who have a difficult time creating web pages or don’t want to do them because you just don’t know how? It can be very frustrating when you try to do something you are unsure about and find you just can’t get it right. This is when you take the alternative solution.
You seek the help of web design software. Web design software works by doing all the hard work for you. All you do is type in the words you want to use, insert images and place them in strategic locations, and you are done. Web design software makes it so easy for you to do it. Now of course there are two different types of software: the kind you download, or the kind you use at a website. Web design software makes creating web pages a snap as long as you know how to use them. Before you go out and buy one or download a free version, there are some things you should know about web design software:

· Normal view: Does the software provide an easy to use interface where all you do is type in the text and insert graphics where you want? Does the software include dropdown menus that allow many functions?

· HTML view: After you work on the site in normal view does the software have a tab to view the code in HTML just in case you want to edit the code yourself? Many software programs provide this tab. Make sure the software you choose has it.

· Preview mode: Many web design software programs allow you to run and see a preview as to how the web page will look when it is published. Many scripts won’t run in this mode, but you can at least see how the page looks so you know if you have everything lined up correctly.

· Templates: Does the software provide you with already made templates to cut your web page building and creating in half? This is important, especially for beginners. This is because designing web pages using templates are so useful. They help cut your time down in creating web pages quite a bit.

· Publishing: Most web design software programs allow you to publish your web pages directly to a server called the host. If this is the case does it provide easy to follow instructions?
