Keyword management

New keyword management module built in to the pearcms page editor. Set-up targeted keywords for each page and Monitor how effectively your copy matches them as you write.

One of the most important readers of your website turns out not to be a human but a machine. Engines in fact, search engines. Search engines are used by the vast majority of internet users to find pages they are interest in. They crawl across the entire internet "reading" pages and cataloging each page according to the pages contents.

In simple terms search engines such as Google reduce your page's contents down into a few keywords. For example if you had a web page which described one of your companies products, say a jar of strawberry jam, Google might catalog it with the keywords "strawberry", "fresh fruit", and "jam".

Ensuring that your content is "reduced down" into keywords you know your potential customers are searching for is the most effective way of boosting your search engine page ranking and to maximise search engine driven traffic to your site.

The pearcms page editor allows users to specify a set of targeted keywords for the page being edited. Content editors, as they write can then view keyword reports detailing the keyword usage, density and relative importance for each targeted keyword. Content editors can not only create compelling content for their readers but also highly targeted content for search engines
